XXII Music festival stars of the white nights
31 July will be closing XXII Music festival “stars of the white nights”, held annually in St. Petersburg. The idea of the festival belongs to the artistic Director of the Mariinsky theatre Valery Gergiev. The first forum was held in 1993 and was conceived as a gift to St. Petersburg from the artists of the Mariinsky. Each year the festival presents the best Opera and ballet performances, concerts of symphonic and chamber music. Traditionally music festival was held on the old and the new stage theatre, in the Concert hall and in four chamber halls of the Mariinsky-2. “the twenty-second time we are holding a Music festival “stars of the white nights”, and the second time it will be held at three of our sites – in the Mariinsky theatre Concert hall and the Mariinsky-2. This year for the first time a map of the festival and includes four new chamber hall of the theatre.
