The festival is organized pursuant to the regional comprehensive programme “Youth of the region (2006-2010)” development of Amateur student creativity, to identify and support talented young people, within The nationwide project, Festival of Festivals “We are one, we are Russia” . aimed at the revival of civic values and promote the ideas of patriotism among the youth.

The goals and objectives of the festival:

– support of Amateur creativity of students and faculty of educational institutions of Orel and Orel region;

– creation of conditions for sustainable development of talented young people;

– strengthen students ‘ traditions and meet the needs of students in creative communication;

– wide promotion of all types and genres Amateur, artistic creativity and the formation of aesthetic values among students;

– engagement with a team of leading specialists of culture and art workers;

Midsummer Festival

We all love new year’s celebration for its elegance and magic of new year’s eve, make a wish, believe that the sacrament will happen and what happens to those who believe. It is unfortunate that in the turmoil of revolutions and reconstructions we have forgotten that since ancient times in Russia was the great holiday of Ivan Kupala . And this holiday is no less mystical and magical than Christmas. This holiday is celebrated at night. It’s a night of magic and mysticism.

The Midsummer festival has its roots in antiquity. At that time people worshiped different Gods, including the God of the summer solstice – Kupala. It was believed that this God is the patron for love, marriage and continuation of the human race. Because of very important aspects of human life, people are very revered this God, and the feast was truly popular and celebrated all of the Slavic world. In Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine is still celebrating. Unfortunately, we have not forgotten. And for good reason!

Meet the XVIII festival Moscow autumn

Today in the Great hall of the Conservatory — the official opening of the XVIII international festival of contemporary music “Moscow autumn-96”. Concerts has just begun and will continue through November 30. However, the press-conference, organized in anticipation of the opening, it was as if the festival is over and the results are summarized clearly and irrevocably.

At the beginning of his speech the Chairman of the Union of composers of Moscow Oleg Galakhov killed all on the spot, use the word “concept” — the word, the authority of which he generously attributed to our critics, to the efforts. Oleg Galakhov assured us that the concept of the festival “Moscow autumn”, as a man may think, there is this “new works by Moscow, and not only in Moscow, composers”. In his opinion, such a concept can dare risk only such public organizations as the subordinate Union. This was followed by a completely unexpected: Galakhov himself spoke all that will be spoken in reproach to the organizers at the closing round table or printed in the Newspapers — all verbs were delivered in the future.
